Holder’s academic research focuses on creatively teaching using technology, popular media, and other innovative techniques to break down barriers to economic education and financial literacy. She created the National Rockonomix Contest in 2010 and utilizes other innovative strategies, such as selfies, movies, music, and project-based learning to motivate students to learn economics and personal finance.
